A painful blow to Bayern hours before the Real Madrid match

LONDON (Reuters) - Bayern Munich striker Robert Lefandowski was set to miss Real Madrid on Wednesday night at Allianz Arena in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The German newspaper Bild said on Wednesday that "the injury suffered by Polish international Levandowski, against Borussia Dortmund, in the last round of the Bundesliga, will prevent him from participating in front of Real Madrid."
Levandowski, who played for Borussia Dortmund on Saturday with a sharp pain in his shoulder, stopped him from training for two days before returning to training on Tuesday.
Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Tuesday that if Leva continued to feel pain, he would not take part, while goalkeeper Manuel Noire was ready to take part.
